    • Little did he know, he was not only about to create an iconic burger brand, but a business empire that'll benefit almost 30, Malaysian micro-entrepreneurs. It all began in when, Ramly, who was a meat cutter then, began reading about news reports concerning halal burgers. During that time, many Malaysians voiced their concerns if the imported burger patties were halal or not.

    Sensing a business opportunity, Ramly together with his wife cum business partner Shala Siah binti Abdul Manap, began creating their own burger patties.

    Ramly had a tough time obtaining loan to start his business because several agencies and banks rejected his application. Lacking resources, much of these patties were created by hand and knives. Initially the sales of these patties weren't doing so well. Not willing to give up, Ramly opened a tiny burger stall in Chow Kit. He also experimented with the flavours of the patties to give them a more local taste.

    This led to more demand and before Ramly knew it, he was producing a whopping 3, patties in one day. Business was booming and he registered his company in Here in Malaysia, he has 16 Ramly Halal Marts and 12 Ramly halal Kiosks and not counting those mini burger street stalls yet.
